NEW YORK – Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo is the NHL’s first star of the week after stopping all but one shot over three games.
Blues goaltender Chris Mason and Bruins winger Phil Kessel were the second and third stars.
Luongo stopped 88 of 89 shots in posting a 3-0-0 record. He finished the week with a 0.33 goals-against average, .989 save percentage and two shutouts as the Canucks clinched the Northwest Division title.
Mason stopped 72 of 74 shots in posting a 3-0-0 record with a 0.67 goals-against average, .973 save percentage and one shutout as the Blues claimed their first playoff berth since 2003-04.
Kessel led the NHL in goals for the week with five and added one assist as the Bruins finished the season with the best record in the Eastern Conference.
