Defenceman Patrick Coulombe was recalled from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League to take his place on the roster.
Bourdon, 19, played in nine games for the Canucks, recording no points and four penalty minutes. Another game played with Vancouver would have activated his NHL contract for the full season.
Bourdon was the club’s first-round pick, 10th overall, in 2005.
The Shippagan, N.B., native split the 2005-06 season between Val d’Or and Moncton of the QMJHL. He scored two goals with 18 assists in 20 games with Val d’Or and added a goal plus seven assists in 10 games with Moncton.
Bourdon played for the Wildcats at the Memorial Cup and was named to the 2006 world junior championship all-star team after helping Canada win gold.
Coulombe, 21, has three assists and eight penalty minutes in 12 games with Manitoba this season. The St. Fabien, Que., native had a goal and two assists in four pre-season games with the Canucks.
