Morrow, who signed a six-year, US$24-million contract extension last month, was selected the team’s fifth captain since it moved to Texas in 1993.
The 27-year-old left winger rewarded the Stars with his first goal of the season that gave them a 2-0 lead early in the second period. Morrow also assisted on Lindros’ goal that gave the Stars a two-goal cushion with 2:48 remaining in the game.
Lindros, who has endured several concussions during his career, signed a one-year deal with the Stars in the off-season after playing in only 72 games the past two seasons.
