Carolina Hurricanes sign veteran forward Stephane Yelle to one-year deal

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Carolina Hurricanes signed veteran forward Stephane Yelle to a US$550,000, one-year deal on Wednesday.

It will be the fourth NHL team for the two-time Stanley Cup winner, who spent last season in Boston.

“Stephane is a proven winner,” Hurriances GM Jim Rutherford said in a statement. “He adds depth and experience to the Hurricanes at the centre position, and he will contribute to the penalty kill.”
