Carter, Flyers take on Bruins

Boston (37-8-6) at Philadelphia (26-14-9), 7:00 pm EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) — All-Star Jeff Carter and the
Philadelphia Flyers will get their first shot at the Eastern
Conference-leading Boston Bruins as the teams open a home-and
home series on Wednesday.

The Flyers, who are coming off a 4-0 loss to the St. Louis
Blues, will visit the Bruins three days later.

Carter ranks second in the NHL with 32 goals, trailing
Washington Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin, who is the reigning
Hart Trophy winner.

The 24-year-old Carter was held scoreless along with the rest of
his teammates during Saturday’s loss as Philadelphia finished
its three-game road trip with a 1-2-0 record.

It won’t be any easier for Carter in this one against the
league’s top-ranked defense. The Bruins have allowed just 113
goals this season.

The Bruins have surrendered one tally over their last two
contests, picking up back-to-back wins over the New York Rangers
and rival Montreal Canadiens this past weekend.
