Chipchura back as Canadiens call up seven prospects for playoff depth

MONTREAL – Centre Kyle Chipchura and goalie Yann Danis were among seven prospects called up Thursday by the Montreal Canadiens to spend the playoffs with the NHL club.

Forwards Matt D’Agostini, Brock Trotter and Ben Maxwell and defencemen Mathieu Carle and Pavel Valentenko were also brought to Montreal.

Chipchura, a first-round pick in 2004, started the season with the Canadiens but was returned to AHL Hamilton on Jan. 8. Danis played six games for the Canadiens in 2005-06. D’Agostini played one game for Montreal in the final week of the regular season.
