Dan Carcillo goes to minors for conditioning after recovering from injury

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Danny Carcillo has been assigned by the Phoenix Coyotes to the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage for conditioning purposes after missing the last 15 NHL games due to a knee injury.

The left-winger from King City, Ont., has five goals, seven assists and a league-leading 172 penalty minutes in 33 NHL games.

Carcillo, 22, played 18 games with the Coyotes last season after being acquired from Pittsburgh along with a third-round choice in the 2008 entry draft in exchange for forward Georges Laraque on Feb. 27, 2007. He played junior hockey in Sarnia and Mississauga.
