Defenceman Mark Stuart skates with Bruins, returns to Providence

Stuart, the team’s first-round pick in the 2003 draft, participated in the morning skate Monday before learning he’d return to Providence. Stuart has been recovering from off-season knee surgery.

He was assigned to Providence on Nov. 7 and had a goal and three assists in four games.

Stuart had one goal and an assist in 17 games for the Bruins last year, and four goals and three assists in 60 games for Providence.
