Dominik Hasek out indefinitely with sore hip, Chris Osgood to start next game

Hasek, 42, made 13 saves in Detroit’s 3-2 win over Vancouver on Wednesday. He is 4-2-1 this season with a 2.68 goals-against average. “This has been lingering for a while now, and Dom just wants it to go away,” general manager Ken Holland told The Detroit News. “This early in the season, we’ll give him a few days off here and, hopefully, the rest will help.

“We don’t think this is anything major. Dom says it just doesn’t feel right.”
