Ducks veteran Selanne to miss four to six weeks with broken left hand

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks will be without veteran forward Teemu Selanne for up to six weeks.

Selanne, who broke a bone in his left hand in the second period of Thursday’s 3-1 loss in Dallas, had surgery Friday afternoon by Dr. Steve Shin at the Kerlan-Jobe Surgery Center in Los Angeles.

The Finnish winger – expected to miss 4-6 weeks – has 14 goal and seven assists 27 games this season.

Selanne is in his 17th NHL season. He has 593 goals and 640 assists in 1159 career games.
