WINNIPEG – Eddie Lack made 27 saves as the Manitoba Moose beat the Milwaukee Admirals 3-0 in American Hockey League action Thursday.
The Moose (22-12-4) have won 10 of their last 12 games thanks in part to the goaltending of Lack. The Swedish rookie was named the AHL’s goaltender of the month for December.
Lack was particularly impressive in the third period, stopping 12 shots.
Nolan Baumgartner, Evan Oberg and Tommy Maxwell scored for Manitoba.
Mark Dekanich made 18 saves for Milwaukee (23-12-6).
Baumgartner opened the scoring at 15:18 of the first period. Sergei Shirokov earned an assist, extending his point streak to a franchise-record 11 games.
The Moose went up 2-0 with a power-play goal at 18:35 of the second. Defenceman Chris Tanev fed Oberg, who beat Dekanich with a slapshot.
Maxwell capped the scoring with an empty-net goal.
