Eddie Lack’s new Hurricanes gear is a thing of beauty

Eddie Lack is ready for the 2015-16 season and showed off his new gear for his first season with the Carolina Hurricanes. The pads, which feature a cross-pad Hurricanes logo, might be plain but they look great.

Eddie Lack has worn some amazing equipment throughout his career, but it’s hard to say if any of his gear has looked as clean or as crisp as his brand new set for his 2015-16 campaign with the Carolina Hurricanes.

In a photo posted by Lack to his Instagram page – which he runs under his nickname, EddieTheStork – he showed off the new gear. The pads feature the Hurricanes logo split across the left and right pad, which is something Lack has previously done while playing for the Vancouver Canucks and for the AHL’s Chicago Wolves.

Down the sides of the pads, Lack has a color bar with black and white piping leading from the toe to knee. He has also included Hurricanes on his glove and blocker without the gear looking overly crowded. The smaller logos on the wrist of his glove and front of his blocker work well against the solid white used everywhere else.

Lack, who was acquired by the Hurricanes from the Canucks on June 27, has been showing off all of his new gear on social media, including a sneak peek at his new mask. The mask, which features Roberto Luongo’s face as a cartoon, was posted to Lack’s Twitter account.
