Edmonton Oilers forward Raffi Torres out for season with torn knee ligament

EDMONTON – Edmonton Oilers left-winger Raffi Torres will miss the rest of the NHL season.

The team said Monday that he will undergo right knee surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

The six-foot, 216-pound Toronto native hasn’t played since suffering the injury during a game at Detroit on Dec. 13.

Torres has five goals and six assists for 11 points in 32 games this season.
