Florida Panthers goalie Anderson sees shutout streak end

SUNRISE, Fla. – Craig Anderson’s shutout streak is over.

The Florida Panthers goalie’s run of 106 consecutive shots saved was snapped in the first period against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday night, when Ryan Malone tapped in a rebound at 6:19 of the opening period.

Anderson had led Florida to 1-0 victories in each of his last two starts, Sunday at the New York Islanders and Tuesday at the Boston Bruins – making the Panthers the first team in NHL history to win consecutive road games by that score.
