Flyers centre Danny Briere to miss four weeks after successful surgery

PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia Flyers centre Danny Briere is expected to miss a month after successful surgery on his groin-stomach area on Thursday.

Briere had been with the team’s American Hockey League affiliate Philadelphia Phantoms since Jan. 14 on a conditioning stint before undergoing the operation.
