NEW YORK, N.Y. – Former Norris Trophy winner Rob Blake is joining the NHL’s hockey operations department.
The league says Blake will work with senior executive vice-president of hockey operations Colin Campbell and his staff “on all aspects of the game.”
Blake, 41, will be involved with the competition committee and the NHL’s summer research and development camp.
Blake officially retired last July after a 20-year NHL career with the Los Angeles Kings, Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks.
He is one of only 24 hockey players to win a world championship, Olympic gold and Stanley Cup.
