Forward Travis Zajac added to Canadian world championship team

KLOTEN, Switzerland – The Canadian roster is finally set at the IIHF World Hockey Championship.

New Jersey Devils forward Travis Zajac has accepted an invitation to join the squad, bringing the team to its roster limit. The 23-year-old from Winnipeg just completed his third season with the Devils. He had 20 goals and 62 points in 82 regular-season games.

He’s expected to arrive in Switzerland on Friday along with defencemen Braydon Coburn and Marc-Edouard Vlasic, who were added Wednesday.

Once they join the team, Canada will have nine players on its roster that are 24 or under.
