Last Book Read: “The last book I read? Us magazine (laughs).”

First Hockey Memory: “Pee-wee, I was playing pee-wee at 13 and we did a shootout against Patrick Roy before we went into this tournament. It was at the Forum too. So that was pretty big.”
First Job: “Hockey player.”

Pre-Game Feeling: “Just relax. Don’t really think about the last game. But on game day, I really just relax and don’t think about it.”

Greatest Sports Moment: “I have to say probably my first game in Montreal against Toronto. That was pretty big, sitting on the bench. And…I have a few…first goal. Then last year’s run in the playoffs (to the Western Conference final). I think those are my best memories.”

Most Painful Moment: “Broke my collarbone, that was pretty painful.”

Most Memorable Goal: “I don’t score a lot but…wow. Minnesota last year was pretty memorable. I got hit a few times, went to the net and scored. I have a few nice goals too, like when I started in Montreal, one-on-one, coast-to-coast and, yeah, I have a few nice goals.”

Toughest/Fiercest Competitors: “I don’t know. I’m not afraid of anyone. But I played with Gino Odjick who was one of the most crazy ones.”

Funny Hockey Memory:
“Downey falling out of the shelves. (Dallas media rep Jason Rademan remembers the incident: “Aaron Downey once hid in the cabinet in the locker room above the Gatorade and water coolers. He was trying to scare the first guy who slid the door open, but instead, the little wooden plank broke underneath him and he fell through the sliding cabinet door. It was funny as can be.”)
Embarrassing Hockey Memory: “I dropped my pants in junior to try to tie one of my socks. I didn’t really think at the time, but I was on the ice and realized people were cheering. That was probably my most embarrassing moment.”
People Qualities Most Admired:  “I think honesty. Good attitude. Good manners, style.”
