I can’t stop scratching my head wondering why Sergei Gonchar was, once again, snubbed from being a Norris Trophy finalist.
What does the guy have to do to be considered?
He’s fighting against the best defenseman in the league in Nick Lidstrom, but again, he finished second in points among defensemen. He’s also a great leader and an extremely valuable player for the Penguins. He had eight power play goals, which put him in a tie for third among players at his position.
I just can’t seem to understand why he’s constantly snubbed for Norris contention. But I guess it’s OK, because I’m sure he’d rather kiss the Cup than win the Norris anyway.
