Highlight of the Night: Ben Bishop breaks record and does it in style

Ben Bishop was breaking records and shutting down opponents on Saturday night. Oh, and he recorded a shutout too.

Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop broke the team’s franchise record for wins on Saturday, as his team defeated the New Jersey Devils 3-0. Not only did Bishop break his tie with Nikolai Khabibulin by reaching win No.31, but he shutout the Devils and stoned Michael Ryder, not once, but twice while lying on his side.

Bishop is having a Vezina caliber season, which has included five shutouts, a goals against average of 2.10 and a save percentage of .929 and has been a main factor in Tampa’s push to the playoffs.
