Goalie Brian Elliott made sure the fans in St. Louis didn’t forget about him last night, stretching out for an incredible save on Minnesota’s excellent youngster, Mikael Granlund.
Brian Elliott took a backseat to Jaroslav Halak earlier this season in St. Louis and now he has to contest with new No. 1 Ryan Miller. But the veteran netminder looked all-world on this save last night, robbing Minnesota’s Mikael Granlund.
That save kept the game tied in the third period and St. Louis went on to beat the Wild 3-2 in a shootout. And yes, T.J. Oshie scored in the skills competition.
