Calgary’s Paul Byron has always been known for his wheels and he put them to good use last night with a devastating shorthanded goal against Buffalo.
It may have been the Ekblad Cup or the Draisaitl Derby, but Calgary and Buffalo both wanted the win last night, as evidenced by this incredible shorthanded effort by the Flames’ Paul Byron. The diminutive winger has always been known for his wheels and they were on full display here.
That tally turned out to be the insurance marker as the Flames got past the Sabres 3-1. Buffalo is still wallowing in the NHL’s basement, while Calgary actually sits 26th overall (though they could still win the draft lottery).
