Hockey league president says no action planned against Tie Domi

The decision comes after the coach of a minor hockey team that Domi’s 11-year-old son plays for filed a complaint against the former NHL player.

Lucas Miller says Domi allegedly “went ballistic” after the team’s loss in a key playoff game on Friday and that he thought he was going to be hit.

League president John Gardner tells Toronto radio station AM640 “a lot of the media” expect him to ban Domi, but he will not do so.

Gardner says he won’t hold Domi to a higher standard than any other parent and that the issue is closed unless the team asks him to pursue it further.

Gardner adds that the “whole thing has gone to a ridiculous stage” and has become a “media circus.”
