Hunter Bishop scores late equalizer, Bulldogs go on to beat Phantoms 4-3 in SO

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – Hunter Bishop scored late to send the game to extra time and the Hamilton Bulldogs went on to beat the Adirondack Phantoms in a shootout 4-3 in American Hockey League play Saturday.

Aaron Palushaj and Dustin Boyd scored in the shootout for Hamilton, while Bulldogs goaltender Robert Mayer shut down four Phantoms shooters.

Ben Maxwell and Kyle Klubertanz each scored for Hamilton (26-13-5) in regulation.

Stefan Legein, J.P. Testwuide and Eric Wellwood had one apiece for Adirondack (13-27-5).

Mayer finished with 21 saves while at the other end Johan Backlund stopped 26 shots.
