Hurricanes activate Ruutu after missing 15 games with upper-body injury

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Carolina Hurricanes activated Finnish forward Tuomo Ruutu from injured reserve Tuesday.

Ruutu had missed 15 games since sustaining an upper-body injury in a fight with Colorado’s Darcy Tucker on Jan. 8.

Ruutu will play for Finland at the Vancouver Olympics.
