Jarome Iginla and Vincent Lecavalier named captains for NHL all-star game

NEW YORK – Former Canadian Olympic teammates Jarome Iginla of the Calgary Flames and Vincent Lecavalier of the Tampa Bay Lightning have been named captains for the Jan. 27 NHL all-star game in Atlanta.

Iginla, making his fourth career all-star game appearance, will wear the ‘C’ for the Western Conference while Lecavalier, skating in his third all-star game, will lead the East.

Both players were voted in as starters in fan balloting.
