The WHL franchise is coming off a league championship and Memorial Cup final, but the party isn’t stopping. The squad has now gone back to its Tacoma roots for a throwback sweater.
The WHL’s Kelowna Rockets are coming off a championship season that saw the powerhouse go all the way to the Memorial Cup final, losing to Oshawa in heartbreaking overtime. The sweaters are throwbacks to the franchise’s days as the Tacoma Rockets (they moved to Kelowna in 1995-96), which explains the early 1990s feel. The team has always boasted a distinct color scheme and the shoulders feature a crossed-rockets secondary logo. The Rockets will still wear their usual red jerseys as well.
So what do you think of these sweaters, pass or fail?
