L.A. Kings re-sign LW Scott Parse to 2-year deal after solid rookie season

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – The Los Angeles Kings have re-signed left wing Scott Parse to a two-year contract following his solid rookie season.

The Kings announced the deal Wednesday.

Parse had 11 goals and 13 assists in 59 games with the Kings last season. His plus-13 rating was the best among rookie forwards in the NHL last season.

The Kings’ sixth-round pick in 2004 began the season with Los Angeles’ AHL affiliate before securing an NHL roster spot in late October.

Parse also appeared in four playoff games with the Kings, who returned to the post-season after an eight-year absence.
