La Russa to drop puck at Blues game as team honours Cards’ World Series title

ST. LOUIS – Tony La Russa’s not done with his victory lap yet.

La Russa resigned two days after managing the St. Louis Cardinals to the World Series title over the Texas Rangers, and the farewell news conference was early enough for him to make an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman” in New York.

On Friday night, La Russa will drop the ceremonial puck before the St. Louis Blues play the Vancouver Canucks.
