Manitoba Moose toppled Oklahoma City Barons 3-2 in a shootout

WINNIPEG – Sergei Shirokov scored the only goal of the shootout Friday as the Manitoba Moose beat the Oklahoma City Barons 3-2 in American Hockey League play.

Manitoba netminder Eddie Lack made 31 saves in regulation and overtime before denying all five Oklahoma City attempts in the shootout.

Shirokov picked the top corner on Barons netminder Martin Gerber in the fourth round to seal it for Manitoba (12-7-3).

Gerber, sent down by the Edmonton Oilers earlier in the week, finished with 29 saves in regulation and overtime for Oklahoma City.
