WINNIPEG – The Manitoba Moose didn’t do it the easy way, but the result is still one they’ll take.
The Moose rallied from a two goal-third period deficit with three unanswered goals in five minutes on the way to a 4-3 win over the Milwaukee Admirals in AHL action Saturday night.
Mike Keane, Mason Raymond, Michael Grabner and Nathan McIver scored for Manitoba.
John Vigilante, Cody Franson and Matt Ellison scored in the losing cause for Milwaukee.
Raymond cued the comeback five minutes into the third period with his second of the season to cut the Admirals’ lead to 3-2. Grabner then tied the game two minutes later with his fourth goal of the year. McIver completed the comeback just three minutes later when his point shot found its way to the back of the net.
Manitoba outshot Milwaukee 36-26 overall, including 13-7 in the third period.
Drew MacIntyre stopped 23 of 26 shots for the Moose in the win, while his Admirals counterpart Pekka Rinne made 32 saves.
