TORONTO – Mikhail Grabovski will be back with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Belarusian forward signed an US$8.7-million, three-year deal with the Maple Leafs on Thursday.
That averages out to $2.9 million per season – a big raise on the $850,000 salary he earned last year. Grabovski and the Leafs had been far apart on contract negotiations and there was even talk that the restricted free agent might file for arbitration.
Grabovski had 20 goals and 48 points in 78 games last season, his first with the Maple Leafs.
In 105 career NHL games with Montreal and Toronto, he has 23 goals and 57 points.
