WINNIPEG – Marco Rosa scored a power-play goal 4:37 into overtime and the Manitoba Moose beat the Hershey Bears 4-3 in American Hockey League action Saturday.
With Sean Collins in the penalty box for tripping, Rosa picked up the rebound of a point shot by Nolan Baumgartner and beat Hershey goalie Braden Holtby.
Shawn Weller, Sergei Shirokov and Mario Bliznak also scored for the Moose (21-12-4).
Dmitri Kugryshev, Lawrence Nycholat and Steve Pinizzotto replied for Hershey (22-13-2), which came back from a 3-1 deficit.
Kugryshev opened the scoring at 8:38 of the first period when he entered the Moose zone and beat goalie Tyler Weiman glove side.
Weller tied the game at 9:25 on a power play when he tipped a slapshot from team Baumgartner past Holtby.
The Moose went up 2-1 on a two-man advantage at 6:15 of the second period. Mark Flood and Rosa circulated the puck and set up Shirokov for his fifteenth goal of the season, extending his point streak to 10 games.
Bliznak scored unassisted to make it 3-1 Moose at 10:12 of the second.
Hershey got one back at 18:38 of the second as Bears defenceman Nycholat spun around shooting through traffic and beat a screened Weiman through his pads.
Pinizzotto tied the game at 14:02 of the third period as picked up a rebound in front of the Moose net and scored his seventh goal of the season.
Weiman stopped 21 of 24 shots, while Holtby made 30 saves.
