Marian Gaborik’s agent denies his client has been offered any long-term, lucrative contract

Marian Gaborik’s agent, Ron Salcer, is convinced his client has been the victim of “character assassination” recently and denied the Slovak sniper has been offered any long-term, lucrative offer from the Wild.

The agent denied Gaborik had been offered a 10-year, $100 million deal, a 10-year $85 million deal, a 10-year $90 million deal or a 10-year $70 million deal.

“When and if they do get offered,” Salcer told the St. Paul Pioneer Press, “maybe something will happen.”

Wild GM Doug Risebrough and assistant GM Tom Lynn declined to comment.

Gaborik is out with a lower body injury and is not expected to play Thursday night against Buffalo.
