McIntyre turns aside 27 shots as Manitoba downs Syracuse 3-1

WINNIPEG – Drew McIntyre stopped 27 shots to propel the Manitoba Moose to a 3-1 victory over the Syracuse Crunch on Friday night in the American Hockey League.

Brad Moran had the game winner on a power play late in the second period as the Moose (23-18-2-1) won their second straight game. The victory extended Manitoba’s lead over the Crunch (21-24-2-1) to four points in the AHL’s North Division standings.

Juraj Simek and Alexandre Bolduc added singles for the Moose, while Jimmy Sharrow had a pair of assists in the win.

Tom Sestito had the lone goal for Syracuse, while netminder Karl Goehring made 26 saves in defeat.
