Jesse Schultz, Brad Moran, and Jason Jaffray scored for the Moose to stretch Manitoba’s win streak to four. With the victory, Manitoba has earned at least a point in 15 of its last 16 games.
The Moose scored on their first shot on goal at 3:41 of the first period when Jesse Schultz lifted the puck high over Bulldogs goalie Yann Danis, while falling to the ice, for his tenth of the season.
Jaffray increased Manitoba’s lead to 2-0 with his 24th of the season on the power play with three seconds remaining in the first period. The goal set a franchise record, with Jaffray scoring in his seventh consecutive game.
Brad Moran closed out the scoring for the Moose when he took a pass from defenceman Yannick Tremblay and beat Danis on his blocker side.
The win gives Manitoba a 4-3 edge over Hamilton in the season series and keeps it on pace with Rochester for the lead in the North Division at 51 points, five ahead of third-place Hamilton.
