New York Rangers agree to terms with veteran forward Brendan Shanahan

The NHL team says it has agreed to terms with the 38-year-old unrestricted free agent. Shanahan had 29 goals and 33 assists for 62 points last season.

He also had 47 penalty minutes in 67 regular-season games.

A veteran of 19 NHL seasons, the six-foot-three 220-pounder is 12th on the league’s all-time list with 627 goals.
