Newbury scores game-winner to lead Marlies to 3-2 win over Bulldogs

Newbury let a slap shot go from the top of the circle near the right boards that found its way past Bulldogs goaltender Jaroslav Halak. Jaime Sifers and Alex Foster also scored for Toronto.

Andrei Kostitsyn and Mikhail Grabovski scored for Hamilton.

Toronto opened the scoring at 3:11 of the first period when Sifers snapped a shot from the point past Halak for his first-career AHL goal.

Hamilton evened the score at 1-1 midway through the second period when Kostitsyn picked up a loose puck in the high slot and let a high wrist shot go over the shoulder of Marlies netminder Jean-Francois Racine.
