Oilers aim for another win during six-game homestand

EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) — The Edmonton Oilers seek their
second straight win as they continue a six-game homestand
against the struggling Nashville Predators on Sunday.

Edmonton eased the pain of a 10-2 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on
Tuesday as defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky scored a power-play goal
early in the second period en route to a 3-1 victory over the
Minnesota Wild on Friday.

Dwayne Roloson made 28 saves and Andrew Cogliano collected two
assists, while Ales Hemsky and captain Ethan Moreau also scored
for the Oilers, who bounced back from their worst home loss in
franchise history.

Edmonton concludes its stretch at home on Tuesday against the
Chicago Blackhawks and then embarks on a three-game road trip.

The Predators, who are coming off a 3-1 loss to the Calgary
Flames on Friday, are 2-8-1 on the road since a 6-3 setback
against the St. Louis Blues on December 8.

Nashville has also dropped four of its last five.
