Philadelphia Flyers add Kalamazoo Wings as ECHL affiliate

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Flyers have reached an agreement with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL to serve as a minor league affiliate for the 2009-10 season.

The Wings replace the Mississippi Sea Wolves, who were the Flyers’ affiliate in that league for the 2008-09 season.

Kalamazoo also announced Wednesday that it reached an affiliate agreement with the San Jose Sharks. Philadelphia and San Jose will have the opportunity to send players under contract with them or their AHL affiliates to Kalamazoo.
