Player of the Week – Feb. 18

The Hockey News Player of the Week for the period of Feb. 11-17 is Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price.

Price began the week by stopping 22 of the 25 shots he faced in the visiting Canadiens’ 6-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators Feb. 11. He replaced Cristobal Huet within the first five minutes of the game after the starter allowed three goals on four shots.

The rookie then made 35 saves in a 2-1 overtime victory over the Florida Panthers Feb. 13, which helped end the Habs three-game losing skid.
