Preds Legwand returns for Game 3 after missing 14 games with bone bruise

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville Predators centre David Legwand returned to the lineup Monday night for Game 3 against the Detroit Red Wings after missing 14 straight games with a deep bone bruise on his left foot.

Legwand had not played since March 7 after taking a shot off his foot that still had him in a walking boot Sunday and unable to participate in the team’s Monday morning skate.

His leadership and scoring ability can only help the Predators, who have been outscored 7-3 in falling behind 2-0 in the series against the Red Wings. Legwand has 15 goals and 29 assists in 65 games this season. He has totalled 107 points the last two seasons.
