Recently-traded Jamie Langenbrunner plays for Stars for first time in nine years

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Jamie Langenbrunner is playing for the Dallas Stars for the first time in nearly nine years.

Langenbrunner started at right wing Sunday at Minnesota, his first game for Dallas since being reacquired in a trade with New Jersey earlier this week.

Langenbrunner was drafted by Dallas in 1993 and played 432 games for the Stars until March 2002, when he was traded to the Devils. He played on the Stars’ 1999 Stanley Cup winning team.

The Wild are a fitting opponent for Langenbrunner’s first game back with the Stars. He was a high school star in Cloquet, a hockey-rich town about two hours north of the Twin Cities.
