Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk to miss two weeks after undergoing knee surgery

DETROIT – Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk is expected to be out of the lineup for two weeks after undergoing successful arthroscopic knee surgery.

The team says the 33-year-old Russian had fragments from his right knee removed this morning at the Detroit Medical Centre.

Datsyuk leads the Red Wings with 59 points (16 goals, 43 assists) in 59 games this season.

Detroit takes a six-game winning streak into tonight’s game at Chicago.
