Red Wings hope to bounce back from woeful showing

DETROIT (Ticker) — The Detroit Red Wings look to rebound from a
blowout loss and take over the top spot in the Western
Conference on Tuesday, when they face the Phoenix Coyotes.

The Red Wings, who are tied with San Jose Sharks for first place
in the West, are coming off an 8-2 thrashing at the hands of the
Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.

“You get mad. You don’t want to play like this, especially in
front of your home fans,” Detroit left wing Henrik Zetterberg
said. “You just have to look yourself in the mirror and come
back and do a lot better job.”

The Coyotes, who are in 14th place in the conference, are hoping
to avoid a third straight loss. Phoenix suffered a 3-2 loss to
the woeful New York Islanders on Sunday.
