Red Wings visit Predators seeking fifth straight win

Detroit (35-11-7) at Nashville (25-25-3), 8:00 pm EST

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) — Marian Hossa and the Detroit
Red Wings have apparently righted the ship.

The defending Stanley Cup champion Red Wings will aim for their
fifth consecutive victory Monday, when they visit the Nashville
Predators in a rematch of last season’s Western Conference

Detroit, which lost a season-high five straight games before its
current winning streak, is facing a team that is out for revenge
for the second straight game.

In their first visit to Mellon Arena since hoisting the Stanley
Cup there last June, the Red Wings cruised to a 3-0 victory over
the Pittsburgh Penguins. Pavel Datsyuk netted two goals and
former Penguin Ty Conklin made 25 saves to record his sixth
shutout of the season.

the Finals, taking the Red Wings to six games in the opening

Nashville had a four-game winning streak snapped with Sunday’s
4-1 loss to the Dallas Stars.

Captain Jason Arnott scored the lone goal for the Predators, who
had won five of their previous six contests.
