Report: Gonchar out for extended period, possibly remainder of playoffs

According to a report from Canadian Sports Network TSN, Penguins defenseman Sergei Gonchar will be out the next several weeks, perhaps the rest of the playoffs, with a knee injury.

Gonchar was injured after his knee-on-knee collision with Washington’s Alex Ovechkin in Game 4. The Caps star received a minor penalty on the play and the NHL has handed out no supplementary discipline.
