BOSTON – Marc Savard is practising with the Boston Bruins for the first time since sustaining a Grade 2 concussion on March 7.
But the team’s top playmaker expressed doubt that he would play Monday night in Game 6 against the Buffalo Sabres. Boston leads the best-of-seven first-round series 3-2.
Savard had skated on his own several times before practising with his teammates on Sunday. He’s scheduled for medical tests Monday and said the chances of him playing don’t look good. Coach Claude Julien said Savard is improving, but hasn’t received medical clearance.
Injuries limited Savard to 41 games this regular season. He had 10 goals and 21 assists.
