Markus Naslund was a very good, if not great, hockey player who played not for the name or number on his back, but for the logo on the front with all the heart he could muster.
Now that Naslund has retired, it’s a sad day. Although I wasn’t really able to see him play during the prime of his career, I always followed his stats to see how he was doing.
Unfortunately, he’s not a Hall Of Famer, but hopefully one day he’ll have his jersey retired by Vancouver, where everybody loved him.
It’s unfortunate Naslund didn’t finish his run in Vancouver, but not everything can have a storybook ending.
Thank you for an illustrious career. We will miss you Markus.
