Senators aim for fourth straight win vs. Wild

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) — The Ottawa Senators are still
entertaining dreams of reaching the playoffs for the 12th
straight season.

The Senators will look for their season-best fourth consecutive
victory Saturday, when they square off against the Minnesota

Ottawa, which lost four straight before its current surge, is
still a long shot to make the postseason – sitting 16 points out
of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

All-Star Dany Heatley scored twice and Jason Spezza recorded a
goal and an assist as the Senators cruised to a 5-2 triumph over
the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.

Antoine Vermette also netted a goal and set up another and Nick
Foligno added his third tally in four games as Ottawa raised its
record to 3-1-1 under coach Cory Clouston, who replaced the
fired Craig Hartsburg on February 2.

The Wild are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on
Thursday. Defenseman Brent Burns netted a power-play goal,
Mikko Koivu added a shorthanded tally and Antti Miettinen
collected a pair of assists for Minnesota, which fell to 4-2-0
in its last six games.
